The city of Burgos has been chosen to host the next International Congress of Associations of Friends of the Camino de Santiago which is held every three years.
Although it is still early to know the subjectS that will address the meeting, the appointment all associations are called Friends of the Camino. As noted by Jesus Aguirre, president of the Burgos group, estimates that nationally there are fifty training linked to the Pilgrim, and thirty others scattered around the world. In total will be in Burgos may not know where to celebrate, some 80 associations.
Santiago and the old continent's bid to host the congress have been granted to coincide with the holding of its first quarter century of existence, birthday Association of Friends Camino de Santiago also shared with the declaration of the Pilgrim as the first European Cultural Route in October 1987.
This event has served as an excuse to organize a lecture series which highlights the importance of the route known as Camino- Street of Europe-in the old continent. Talks to be held next week in Room Bustle, serve to explain the role of the Pilgrim in countries like Germany, France or Italy, for what it is they who provide the largest number of pilgrims and what is its link history.
The conferences are organized in collaboration with the House of Europe.
