Bus from Pamplona to St. Jean?

I arrive in Madrid on Sept. 22, will take the train or bus to Pamplona, and would like to get to St. Jean the same day if possible. Otherwise I will enjoy a day in Pamplona. I prefer not to take a taxi.

Also, if there is bus service, can anyone tell me the name of the company so that I can check their website for departure times, etc.? I did this last year with Avanza, traveling to another location in Spain, and found their website to be pretty informative and reliable.

I believe it is that they only schedule a number of weeks in advance. That has been the case for years anyway. In pre-covid days they would have service until about the end of October.

You could try the bus from Pamplona to Roncesvalles and either start from there or walk a loop through Valcarlos to St. Jean then back to Roncesvalle
