We (2 adults, 2 13yr olds) will be walking our first Camino in June '09. We hope to start in Ponte de Lima and would appreciate info on public transport to P. de Lima from Porto. We arrive in Porto early afternoon and would like to continue immediately to P. de Lima. Feeling a little anxious about motivating the teens en route, so would welcome advice from anyone who has had similar experience.

Hi,
I'm not sure if this link is helpful--it is all I could find. http://www.rede-expressos.pt/ I put in a random day and it appears that there is a bus at 5 p.m.
Will you arrive at the Porto airport? I was there a few weeks ago. There is a very helpful tourism office at the airport and they had all sorts of information on trains and buses. They were helpful and spoke English well.

Thanks for info - will check out tourist office at airport.

In the past I was looking for the same information, but not from Porto but from Vigo.

The bus stopped in Tui-Valenca, and in Barcelos, but not in Ponte de Lima. So, I'm sure you can go to Barcelos and then to take another local bus.

Buen Camino, I hope you enjoy the Serra do Labruja
