My last bus ride in September left over thirty riders on the curb. I don't think they add buses!!!We were told that if the bus is full they put on another one.
Hi,
Does anyone know if you can purchase bus tickets in adavance (and if so how far in advance) for the Finisterre - Santiago bus route? I will be travelling back to SdC with two friends on the 24th July and anticipate the buses being quite busy that day. It seems from the Monbus website that you cannot purchase via the internet but only via a ticket office or on the bus. I am walking through Santiago a few days before the 24th so was hoping that I may be able to purchase tickets from Finisterre either at the bus station or an outlet in the center of the city.
Any advice gratefully received.
It is no easier, and "better" is in the eyes of the beholder. I like Muxia better than Fisterra, but the walk to the lighthouse then along the beach at Fisterra is awfully good!!Is it better/easier to finish at Muxia rather then Finesterre?
You could visit both. I walked to Finisterre and then both of us walked from there to Muxia. We took two days but it can be done in one. I suggest doing the walk in that order but there is more bus service to Santiago from Finisterre than Muxia. My feeling is that Finisterre is a tourist beach town and Muxia is more of a coast town. The church at Muxcia right on the headland makes a good end to a religious camino. Is it better/easier to finish at Muxia rather then Finesterre?
From Santiago to see both would that be 4 days or 5 hiking?
From what i have read, i am thinking of going first to Muxua and then down to Finesterre, and return to Santiago to catch the train to Madrid to go home.
