Camino Frances July-August (2018)
Hi all,
Just curious whether I could get an update on whether 35mm film is readily available along the camino frances? The last post I could find was from a few years ago and I know film is increasingly hard to find...
Thanks!

Highly unlikely other than in specialist stores in major cities like Pamplona, Burgos and Leon. Anything you find in the Mum & Pop stores in the villages along the way will be well past it's exposure date.
A google search suggests on-line purchasing to a post-restante is your best bet if you don't want to carry spare rolls.

Hi, KJG,

Did you mean 35mm film stock (movie) or a 35mm photo stock (photos)?

Anyway I do have some 16mm film stock if you need it. I'm willing to sell it anytime

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I think if you want to shoot film you’re going to have to carry it.

thanks everyone!

I had a look online for photographic shops in Leon and Burgos that sell 35mm film but couldn't find any. If you really shoot a lot you could maybe post it on to yourself?
This might work (but others will surely jump in if it won't): Pick out a couple of private albergues that you fancy staying at and when you book, ask if you can post to their address and pick up the film when you arrive. That way you'd also get to choose your type of film rather than chance it. Having said that, I quite like the idea of discovering some very expired film in a little village shop. Apparently Tincatinker (above) doesn't realise quite how cool it is nowadays...

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
