Camino 2012

Hi my name is Joanna and I am planning to walk the Camino starting in Le Puy in April next year. I would love to make contact with anyone else who is planning on going around the same time and I need all the tips I can get from those of you who have already walked the camino :)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Hi Joanna,
We are starting in Le Puy next April on the 26th.

Hi - Well here I am finally logged in again - Happy New Year to all.
I have now finalized my dates and will be arriving in Le Puy on the 11th April and begin my walk on 12th April - Eeeek 3months away! All going well I will arrive in Santiago de Comp 22nd of June. I have given notice and paid my air fares etc so this is it. I will be 59 in August and originally planned to walk the Camino in my 60th year in 2013 but recently a number of my friends have developed health problems - some survived but one did not and it made me realise that none of us are promised a tomorrow, next week or next year! Excitement mixed with trepidation, feeling the fear and feeling alive. I look forward to meeting some of you interesting people along 'the way'

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
JoannaB...welcome to the Forum and the Class of 2012!

I'm sure there will be many Forum members willing to answer your questions and add a few tid bits for flavor.

May I suggest you check out the FAQ just to the right next to "members" that will get you some basics...then the SEARCH tab near the top of the page. Lots of good scoop there.

Keep up with the Forum and once you get along the Way...drop a note from time to time so we can follow along.

Buen Camino

Hi Joanna.
What a wise decision and what bravery.
I am 52 and have been meaning to do this for years. A few health problems of my own have made me realise that if I don't do it soon, I may never be able to.
I am going to start from SJPP but my dates are flexible. Could start April/May or August. Nobody else seems concerned but I don't want to do it on my own. Just think all the planning and setting out would be more fun in company.
Anyway buen camino
Linda
