Hi and hello everybody,

my mother and i are walking the CF this year.
We start at St. Jean on july 31st and stay the first night at Orisson (We have already booked the beds).

We are from Denmark, and we have walked quite a lot in Denmark including the Fjallraven Classic, which is an amazing event that takes place several places in the world during summer time.

And now I finally got her convinced to do the CF with me - jubii! It is so hard to wait six months, but in the meantime, we train....

Kindest regards,
Rikke (and my mom, Renatha)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Welcome to the forum Rikke (and Renatha), I see you are not new to the Camino so you know what you are in for. I've had the great pleasure of hiking with my daughter over the years, it's changed from me doing all the organising and carring most of the stuff to her overtaking me both in terms of load capacity and distance. We walked the English and Portuguese Way together which was a great experience, despite the rain, and will be rewalking the Vdlp this year. It's a great investment spending a prolonged period on the road together and I hope you both get as much out of it as we did.

Welcome both of you. If that time last year was anything to go by it will be a home away from home, there were lots of lovely Danes all over the place.

Buen Camino,

Rob.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Buen Camino, Rikki, and welcome to the forum.

It is so very special for a parent to walk the Camino with a child. My prayers are with you as you continue planning for the Camino together. It seems like the start of your trip is a long ways away; however, when those final few days arrive before your departure, you'll be wondering how it was that the time so quickly snuck up on you. :D:eek:

Awesome, walking el camino with your mom. Good luck to The Rikke and Renatha Team during the planning and execution, please keep us posted. Que la luz de Dios alumbre su camino.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi, Rikke and Renatha!
In my case I am the mom, even the granny! Planning to do the coastal Portugues this year with my three middle aged children and six of my seven grandchildren!
Have done several caminos in part with one or two or even all three of my children. A very special experience! So, buen camino to you both!

Most of our walks have been with our son - aged 8 to 21. He'll be 22 at Easter, when we'll be walking together again. It has been great to see how he has grown and matured over the years, seen through the Camino perspective...

It's so nice to walk with him, especially now that he's no longer living at home it's wonderful to be given these days together again.
