I plan on doing the Camino in several stages starting in late March 2016 from St.-Jean-Pied-de-Port.

How do I get started, is there maps/books that I should buy ahead of time...?

I've used the http://www.mundicamino.com/rutas.cfm?id=15 sight for the Manchego way Ciudad Real To Toledo but the English translation was difficult and the final map into Toledo showed a pedestrian bridge at the waters edge that no longer exits... at least I was right at the edge of the city, but wondering if I can trust this web site for the French Way?
