Santiago de Compostela to Cabo Finisterre September 2015
Hi everyone.. I'm planning to walk from Santiago de C to Cabo Finisterre and Muxia (& back) this September, pilgrimage and a little holiday and wondering if anyone has experience camping.. I have a lightweight little tent that I'm taking along just in case hostels /refugios are full or beyond reach (old guy) Anyone..?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
@Willemx5 we've just come back from the Norte with a tent. Wild camping is not permitted in natural beauty areas, and campgrounds only occasionally near the path. Our intention was to pitch the tent in the grounds of albergues, but that did not work out much either. Many albergues don't have gardens. In reviewing the trip we don't think it was worth the extra weight - tent, sleeping mats, sleeping bags.

Might be worthwhile doing some research on campgrounds and whether albergues are suitable to pitch a tent.

Thank you Kanga, cheerio w

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

This photo was taken on the Camino Finisterre. As you can see the ground is not really suitable for pitching a tent. I think there is a large percentage of cow manure in that muck too. This is an extreme example but I didn't see much ground suited for camping even if it were legal (and I don't know if it is).

I agree with Kanga about the weight not being worth carrying.
Albergues will not be full in September.
I sometimes carry a screen tent because of my MCS - when it flares up I can't tolerate the scent of air fresheners, cleaners, perfumes, deodorants, even after shave.
But if you don't have health reasons to carry a tent, it's just too much to deal with really and unnecessary.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Thank you peoples.. Really good to get some sound advice from fellow pilgers.. I'm still taking my lightweight anyway for the campground in/near Finisterre to hangout for a coupl' of days/nights.. Aultreia..w

Hi all, At this stage looks like we are going to finish in SdC on Friday, our flight home is only Monday night. The weather forecast doesnt look to be promising - showers over the whole weekend...
Hi all We are walking the reverse Camino from Muxia to Santiago via Fisterra. Any tips or information to help us on our way?
