It seems such a pity that the May Babies can't identify each other on the camino yet. How about something else to identify Forum members until the badges are ready? It will have to be small, light and noticeable, How about a small circle of yellow fabric (to match all the 'Emoticons used in our posts) pinned onto your backpack? You could draw a smiley face on it!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

You can always put a smile on my face.

If you do meet, which I sincerely hope, please take a picture and send it to the forum.

Great Idea , count me in.

Only 7 more days to go. Just got back from an 18.3K walk up and down hills with my pack fully loaded at 14 lbs including my water. I have to say, I'm pooped!

Blessings to all and most especially, us May babies :!:

mmm - nice idea but perhaps in Europe not a piece of yellow cloth. During the Nazi Years of conquest Jews were forced to wear a piece of yellow cloth, cut into the Star of David shape or with that drawn on it .... then the camps ..... so perhaps, in Europe, another colour pilgrims...?

Br David, that's a good reminder of how one should not forget what has happened in the past. But I agree with xm - whatever symbol we choose, I think it will always have a reference to something else also. I absolutely do not want to show anykind of disrespect or ignorence to the historic facts, but I think I'll keep the yellow circle, maybe with an arrow in the middle. And I'll keep it in my backpack. Though, if this forum has someone who finds this flag as offencive, I'll have to think again. Don't wan't to upset anyone.

Buen Camino to those Maybabies leaving soon!

K

P.S: Blue circle?

sure - just a point - though yellow does stand out a long way - and no one got upset with the smiley badges etc etc ... and I actually think it's a good idea (though I still think a pinned on fried egg could be good).

Amazing thing about the Nazis, XM, is that amongst all that stuff going on there had to be an office somewhere where these colours were chosen - pink for gays? who said they didn't have a sense of humour?
