Time of past OR future Camino
May 2020 starting from Léon
Already posted this in the class of 2020 but want to add it to the calender :
Decided for the CF in May (first time, taking it slowly and starting in Léon). If all goes well, hope to have time to walk to muxia or finisterre. Have been thinking about the Camino since a few years and can’t get it out of my mind. Reading avidly all I can find now and planning my preparation from 01/01 onwards. Got a “Buen camino” from my boss when I told him I wanted to take off the whole month of May :)
Going solo. Need some time for myself after losing a son, losing the fight to save my marriage, losing my parents, worrying about my other son who is transgender and autistic... don’t worry, am still an optimistic and gratefull person full of laughter with a large supporting family !

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Welcome, @Belcat.
May the way bring solace, and space to 'digest' all that's happened (and is happening) in your life.
It's good at that.
You are very fortunate in your boss, BTW! Wonderful.

My first camino was from Leon, and it was a perfect introduction. Long enough to get a real sense of the Camino, and short enough not to be too intimidating.
Buen camino!

Thx!
And thx for the positive comment on starting from Leon, it is very reassuring.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I hope you will find the Camino to be calming and healing.
Take a day or two to enjoy Leon - it's a wonderful city!
Buen Camino!
Thx, will do!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I am leaving St Jean on the 17th April with my sister so could possibly meet up with you along the way. Isn’t it exciting to be planning this great adventure?
Have a wonderful walk,
Buen Camino!
Yes, feeling the same way, exciting and so looking forward to it, a little bit apprehensive too, but that is normal I think.
Buen Camino ! God willing, we’ll meet.

Please give yourself a couple of days in Leon it is my favourite city on the Camino. I suggest the Hotel Paris on the Calle Ancha.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

California Norma. This will be one of the best things you could do for yourself. I walked The Primativo with two of my adult sons. Together, separate, alone, it was the best. Never felt afraid even as I got lost and arrived at the hostel at ten in the evening, mostly felt silly for missing the marker. People wonderful, area is fabulous.
Time to think, daydream, talk with my boys, and oh no....another mountain?
Have fun, break in your shoes and take trekking poles. 🧾😎
