In 2010 three Spanish cities are commemorating their Jubilee; Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia, Potes, Cantabria, and Santiago de Compostela, Galicia and to celebrate, thirty sports cars will be travelling the 1429 km between the three cities on a regulation rally starting on Sunday June 6 in Caravaca de la Cruz.

The first Holy Places Rally celebrates the fact that of the five cities in the world who have the privilege of holding permanent Jubilees, three are in Spain and these cities will for the first time be linked through this initiative. About thirty vehicles, including several exclusive models, along with ten support vehicles will be there for the drive across the peninsula from South to North and from East to West.

The Rally takes place over six days, over six stages departing from Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia) on the first Sunday in June and finishing in Santiago de Compostela on Friday June 11th. The trip will take them through the Monastery Santo Toribio de Liebana, located in the town of Potes (Cantabria) on 9th June.

This unique journey has never been done ever before, and coincides with the Jubilee Year of Caravaca de la Cruz and Santiago de Compostela, a coincidence that will not recur for another hundred years! Several drivers are members of the Order of Knights and Ladies of the Camino de Santiago and Brotherhood of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Holy and Vera Cruz de Caravaca de la Cruz. Something very different for the Rally diary in 2010.
