Congratulations to @KinkyOne an other friends from Slovenia because Tadej Pogacar won the Tour de France 2020 and second is Primoz Roglic, also from Slovenia.
There are 14 countries so far with winners and I think no more than 5 with the 2 first positions.
Slovenia is the less populated (2.000.000) and Tadej Pogacar (21) is the youngest winner.
I am happy because an important event like this has been completed successfully in these difficult times.
He won La Vuelta a España 2019.An amazing day of racing, hats off to both of them they are awesome and I am sure Roglic will win a Grand Tour.
Surely was !! Spectacular mountains... watching those riders negotiate those downhills !!! Whew !!!What an exciting ride that was to view!
And a big cheer for Tasmanian Richie Porte coming in 3rd place!Congratulations to @KinkyOne an other friends from Slovenia because Tadej Pogacar won the Tour de France 2020 and second is Primoz Roglic, also from Slovenia.

Yes indeed, I see the tour on Spanish TV1 and Richie is always one of the favourite corredores of the speakers. And a big cheer for Tasmanian Richie Porte coming in 3rd place!
Only the second Australian ever to take a place on the podium.
Richie's wife gave birth to their second child while he was on the Tour...another reason for celebration. Bet he can't wait to come home.
That's wonderful to know...especially as Richie indicated 2020 would most likely be his last Tour de France.Yes indeed, I see the tour on Spanish TV1 and Richie is always one of the favourite corredores of the speakers.
Yes, Sam Bennet.Ahh lads, what about how the Irishman did today?
Sam Bennett won 2 stages this year and is the proud holder of the Green Jersey .How appropriate.Delighted to see him racing down the Champs Elysée to win that stage.Yes, Sam Bennet.
Winning a Tour stage is not easy. Last time a Spaniard did it was in 2018.
In a strange year (and that includes Le Tour being held in September!), it has been a very pleasant diversion to arise early each morning on the W Coast of the USA and tune in to the greatest spectacle in cycling. As an amateur cyclist, it is hard to imagine how much power these youngsters can generate and it was wonderful to watch Pogecar ride the time trial of his life to capture yellow. Roglic has nothing to be ashamed of; he has already won La Vuelta a Espana and will most likely win another grand tour at some point. Note that Roglic was a Junior World Champion ski jumper before he took up cycling! Hat off and cheers to our Slovenian friends!
Your forgetting Sean Kelly, also a Carrick on Suir man like Bennet who won 4 Green Jerseys in his career.Sam Bennet also won the Green Jersey. Another first for an Irishman...(or anyone else except Peter Sagan recently)
Beating former teammate Peter Sagan is a major accomplishment.
And if I’m not mistaken, the great Sean Kelly was doing commentary for one of the Euro TV channels covering Le Tour. Must have been a great thrill for the former Green Jersey winner to see Sam blasting up the final stretch of the Champs to win the final stage. Sweeet!!Your forgetting Sean Kelly, also a Carrick on Suir man like Bennet who won 4 Green Jerseys in his career.
