In today's video we will show you our detailed morning routine while camping and hiking. After being hiking for a year and a half we finally seem to have established our own routine that we tend to stick to every day and we are ready to share it. Now you are about to see our regular morning on Camino de Santiago and everything that we normally do in the order of appearance. So let's get started!

You've got it down to a fine art!
Less so for many peligrinos in albergues. My wife and I always pack up the night before so that when we leave early (typically 5am if it's hot during the day) we just pick up our sleeping bags and our packs and creep out of the dorm. We can then do final preparations in the communal area without disturbing others. I just wish that many peligrinos would do the same - there's nothing worse then packing and repacking rucksacks (usually involving the rustling of plastic/nylon bags). A bit of thought for others and some forward planning would be welcome!
 
Could be that there are some out there that don't know how to cook rice, cut a tomato or fold a sleeping bag -so fair enough. It would have been a lot more interesting to see how you managed the routine if the rain was pouring
 

Thank you for sharing your experience and thought about it. Can only imagine how annoying it can be to wake up to these rustling sounds, that's so disrespectful. That's part of the reason why we personally choose to camp instead of staying in the albergues.

Yes, it would be more challenging to film for sure but it won't change much basically we just do everything inside the tent so it's quite inconvenient because of the lack of space. Thank you.

It was actually pretty challenging at times because of the area being quite populated or used for agriculture and so you have to search for the camping spot quite hard. Especially if you go deeper in the mountains there will be no campgrounds so you will have to stealth camp. But it is totally possible and probably the way to go would be to half time camp half time stay in hostels where there would be no other option. For us personally it wouldn't be the same experience without camping even considering the difficulties.
