Just to make my life interesting, I have decided to try applying for a credencial by post from Mundicamino - having received their application form and instructions by email in Spanish...well life's rich tapestry and all that. The worst case is that my 5 Euros disappear forever, and I have to follow everyone else's advice and obtain one in Burgos.

Good options. There are others. :?: I'd look out for churches along the Roads called "Santiago", like the one in Jaca, not on your proposed Camino, it's located on the Camino Aragones, just an example. Cheaper, that's for sure :!:
