The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Yep - judging by his bike its a high-speed road bike. I doubt he even went onto any of the gravel, farm, roads. Bikes are not permitted on the Motorways (the Spanish A roads) so he would have had to pick his route.
As for "normal cycling pilgrims" - YES equip your bike with a BELL and USE it. Agree be respectful of the walking pilgrims, even if it means getting off your bike and walking a short way (or at least being prepared to stop). Cheers
 
To each their own. I did a bike CF in May 2016. A big part of my memories were taking time to talk to people and fellow pilgrims, picnic, attend mass at all the cathedrals, do tourist sight seeing at towns and cities.
