Day of Atonement

Walking the Camino, any Camino, day blends into day and time is not really important. Before the advent of cell phones, one would often hear, 'What day is today?' For our Jewish Brethren a reminder that tonight at sundown begins our Day of Atonement. גמר חתימה טובה!

Shana Tova to all. I walked last year at this time. Ate the world's sweetest apple (no honey required), between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, from the tree in the yard of the Albergue I stayed in. But for the first time in about 50 years, didn't fast on Yom Kippur. Still, had plenty of time for thoughtful reflection and atoning. Wishing those walking today/tomorrow, good health, safe travels, and all the best in 5784.

Holiday greetings from Jerusalem. I always walked the different Caminos in the Springtime - SJPP, Le Puy, Vezelay, Lisboa, Paris. Not being a very observant Jew I always missed the Passover Feast and happily chomped on French baguettes and bocadillos for several days without knowing the date. Too late baby no reason to stop. Shana Tova, have an easy fast, and may rain never fall on your Succah

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
