Previous threads here have featured articles about the Dragonte route out of Villafranca del Bierzo. A common thread (pun intended) in these articles has been how easy it was to get lost on the Dragonte, due to poor, or non-existing, way marking. Last autumn, Matt Sanchez, from Vega de Valcarce, Spain and Patrick Eibergen, from Chicago, went up there and painted yellow arrows. Also, a facebook group, "Friends of Dragonte," has been started in order to provide information about this route in one convenient place. Some stories from the Camino Forum may have been "lifted" and placed on the facebook site. Please notify the administrator of you object to having you story on facebook. Meanwhile, feel free to join "Friends," and contribute your own stories if you have done this wild, remote and beautiful route. Buen camino!

How about coffee? Have they added coffee with the yellow arrows?????

Oooh, excellent! I was going to chance the Dragonte in 2013 but woke up to low lying mist and rain so didn't chance it after hearing stories of people being lost (I have a terrible sense of direction at the best of times!). Maybe this year?!....

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
