Two out of three shelters in the Camino de Santiago passes through Castilla y Leon are closed. Poor profitability and the hard Climatology pilgrims oblige a long stage.

Representatives from the Youth Hostel Network of Castilla y León del Camino Francés at Astorga threatened yesterday with a "temporary closure or step" of fifty lodges of Burgos, Palencia and León. The network, which as such representatives, brings together private shelters, municipal or privately run run 'associations of friends of the Camino de Santiago', protesting the regulation of the sector they want to apply the Castilla y León.
