Finally happening (I hope)

I love freedom and in many ways I indulge in it. Consequently, I discovered (thanks to the Camino) that in the quest for freedom, I had compromised patience.

I set a tall order for myself...once "X" is done, I shall begin (Camino). No matter what, I will not walk until "X" is done. Oh boy...when "X" kept getting delayed - I kept going nuts, obviously from my own lack of patience, and desire for freedom. The Camino does begin from home but it kept me underwater for longer than comfort.

Finally, "X" is done a day ago (PHEW!!!). Impromptu tickets purchased. Trains booked. In 3 days, I shall begin...my first step on the Camino starting from my doorstep. (I don't just cross my fingers, I'm tying them into a knot!!)

My experience of the "Camino Begins from Home" was like standing on a thin melting ice hoping every moment for grace to show. In other words...it's about Trust, Faith and Surrender. At the moment, Grace is just a glimpse away. I still don't know if I'll catch it as I have 3 more days' breaths to hold. To be or not to be is certainly not mine to decide. In all things, I can only go as far as trying...(that I'm made to learn) Aaarrrgggg...!!!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Just let it happen. I was quite unprepared with only 3 weeks training and reading and rushed packing. Recently got home and miss it already, best experience ever, wonderful people, spectacular scenery, nothing to think about other than just being, you will love love love it. Be free X
