I'm also doing the CI next year but haven't decided when to start. There's loads of information on the forum, if you can't find it just ask and the experts will jump in and answer it for you.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I'm just wondering about the weather in May on the CI. What have others' experiences been? I'm planning on expecting rain, so wet weather gear like trousers and jacket and protection for backpack I'm preparing for. Can it rain so much, or be so heavy or prolonged, that I have to not walk? Am interested in any comments and suggestions.

I've had it rain, but never had it stop progress. The good thing is, there is always somewhere close to stop, drink coffee and dry out. May is a good month.

Hi dduroy,
Thanks for your response. Very much appreciate the comfort you give to my planning. Of course, weather is very unpredictable in reality, so I will have to take whatever comes down from on high. Am getting more excited as time passes.
