I moved from Londonderry a couple years ago- Welcome! Make sure your shoes fit good need any help EMS will do. Pack your backpack and do a few 6-7 mile hikes in the white mountains. Stretch before and after and treat your feet like they are your best friends; they are. I'm sure you will have a great journey. Prepare for NE weather and you should have that covered! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Remember you are a turtle not a rabbit- slow and sure. Buen Camino!

Check what is open in March. A lot of listings are open March to November, but that may be the end of March. Many other listings are Easter to October or November. Know your options before you leave!

Two more older, first-time pilgrims from NH (and one from TX) will be following you on April 23. Will be thinking about you and your journey for peace as I continue to prepare for mine. Keep us posted! Blessings.

I'll be about 10 days behind you. I'll enjoy walking in the wake of your peace.

Keep the faith.

If you see a blue Osprey 48 backpack lying across the trail, please stop. I will probably be passed out underneath it. If you could drag me to the the next Albergue...
