Wow, Sailor, how cool is that!? Thank you.
Now I can see my friends' weather all around the world--and that most of our friends on the Camino right now are having nice weather! (Happy walking and Buen Camino, everyone!....)

Thank you for sharing, Peter

. . . The peregrinas/os that are out there right now had wonderful weather! (But something wetter this way comes . . . )

Nice photo on 20 September 2015 -- All Caminos are clear. But the caminantes need to keep an eye on those clouds approaching from the Atlantic Ocean. Que la luz de Dios alumbre su camino.

The bigger photo from which that had been clipped showed a huge mass of white about to roll in form the Atlantic...so enjoy the nice weather while it lasts because it will change!
This link that @sailor shared is a wonderful way of getting a sense of what might be on the way....

A few clouds moving in this morning, not a whole picture due to darkness (you can check later during the day for the complete picture from the second satellite pass). I have the link on my signature (España today from space, by NASA's Aqua & Terra satellites), but the bar on the bottom left corner need to be moved to the correct date. Here is the link for this morning's satellite pass: http://1.usa.gov/1Kuokib
And tomorrow night (Sept 22nd) Miss Summer departs for a well-deserved break . . . Enter Miss Equinox (Sept 23rd).

If you're out there and nearing Galicia you might want to put your raingear where you can get at it easily...
And if you're under all that cloud, may you stay dry!

Primer día del Otoño 2015

Say welcome to the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. Nice looking photo of Spain today with cirrus and stratus filtering the sun over most of the caminos. When you see a dark line (at about 70 degree angle), this is caused due to the camera resolution of one of the two satellites.

Sailor, is it possible to tell the difference on these photos between clouds that don't/won't produce rain (like cirrus) and those that do? If so what to look for?
[Edit: Looking at today's photo, the difference between the very thin cirrus and the rest is pretty clear. But amongst stratus clouds, some produce rain and some not, right? Can you tell from these pics which are which?]

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Viranani good afternoon.

In my opinion (with the exception of some of the storm clouds) it is hard to tell rain producing clouds from these photos, so, instead of guessing I would take a look at this weather satellite offering several options, including rain:

http://en.sat24.com/en/sp/km

You can pick the different views (four options on upper right corner of the screen), including clouds, rain, infra-red and 1-week forecast.

Que la luz de Dios alumbre su camino.

Thanks for this, @sailor! You're a font of information.
Much better than getting the pre-digested partial information from weather forecasting sites.
