Garbage

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I want to get my start date on the calendar so am starting this thread. While I was out training today I noticed pieces of discarded fast food containers, cigarette stubs, candy wrappers and so on. I remember that on my first Camino we brought a plastic bag and took a day in our walk to pick up any discarded material along the way. I thought it was something I would do on my walk this year. Then I thought that perhaps, on a day when I'm walking without a pack, that I do the same for the walking paths in my community. It's one way to give back to those who have provided trails for our pleasure.

Definitely. It also reminds us that people are people in all countries.
