Hi,

I'm Bridie, from Melbourne, Australia. i will be setting off on the Camino Frances at the start of June 2010. The more I read about it, the more excited I get!
If anybody can help on cheap transport options from Paris to St Jean, would be a great help!

Buen Camino!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I'm not sure how cheap you're looking, but we're planning to take the TGV from Paris to Bayonne for about 70Euros. then normally there is a train from Bayonne to St. Jean, but the tracks are being repaired, so instead there is a bus. I'm not sure how much the bus is.

When are you planning on starting out from St. Jean? we're planning on arrive in St. Jean on the 9th of June to start the 10th.

Good luck with your planning, you've certainly come to the right place!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Bridie,

I'm from woodend and I have just purchased my ticket for the 4th May from paris to Bayonne for $70aus. Also my bus ticket from Bayonne to SJPP for 8.60 euros. I bought them from raileurope.com.au which is based in Melbourne, I think.

Hope this is a help

I am Gary from Sydney Australia, & Bridie I agree, the more research & reading one does the more I want to just jump on a plane. We head out late July & due to time will be flying into Madrid & starting from Burgos.
