Hello and welcome to this wonderful forum family. April is a nice time to walk the Camino, you will have a great time.Hi, I am planning on Leaving NOLa to start the camino in End March/Early April 2016. SOOOOOO many ?????
Hi Jeffrey, wish you a Buen Camino, Peter.I will also be taking my maiden trek on the camino in 2016...
My plan is end of September. Pretty excited, I will be turning 40 next year. so its a landmark year of sorts...
Thanks for the shout! With all these questions, it makes me feel like I haven't filled 3 passports already. I think a lot is the language barrier, I am hoping a translator app will help. Do you have a "one thing I wished I had brought" item?Welcome and Buen Camino! Read the FAQ section and ask away - there are many experienced walkers on this forum who will gladly assist you
Thanks Peter. My hope for april is to miss the heat of summer & the summer crowds. Though I hear orison is already booked up, so there must be plenty of pilgrims already planning! Thanks for the welcome, it gives me a sense of security and new found community!!Hello and welcome to this wonderful forum family. April is a nice time to walk the Camino, you will have a great time.
I wish you well and a Buen Camino, Peter.
Thanks so much!! I was initially planning on end of March, but thought I could hedge my bets and miss a little spring rain!! We Will See !!' my gratitude to you, for your input. GypsywindHi, and welcome Gypsywind. Plenty of answers here......no matter how many questions you have. Fire away!
And April is great...numbers are picking up but it's not too busy, compared to later. But you won't be short of company, if you want it. Be prepared for changeable weather would be the only caveat.
I Never Saw That Coming!! I do have some serious weather transitions to walk thru, there goes my pack weight limit!!Hi Gypsywind, not a "wish I had brought item" but a "I am glad I brought" item! My umbrella. I decided to take an umbrella for my May/June 2014 walk and it proved to be invaluable - not for the rain but protection against the sun. I walked in heatwave conditions from SdC to Finisterre (no rain in Galicia!) and my umbrella was a life saver. Wouldn't walk without it again.
