In Aug/Sept, 2016 I walked the CF from SJPP to Santiago. It was truly an amazing experience. I have done lots of backpacking, including both more touristy type things like the Inca Trail and longer term back country treks; in particular the 2000 mile Appalachian Trail. But, the Camino was different. People are open. Everyone is there for a reason and conversation quickly turns to life, meaning, hopes, changes, spiritual feelings and openings. I was very moved by things that happened during my Caminio and my life changed dramatically as a result. (I went from Spain directly to Costa Rica to volunteer in a school for a year.) I have wanted to go back for over a year now. And, I am happy to say that I will be returning on April 28. First I will serve as a hospilatero in Granon for the first two weeks of May. Then I will do a pilgrimage. Right now I am thinking about combining El Camino San Salvador and the Primitivo. But that is not set in stone. What I do know is that I will be leaving Granon on May 16 for another Camino. I find myself already packing my pack, reading Camino web pages every night, listening to Spanish music, and (today) listening to talks by Lama Wangchen, the Tibetan monk who lives in Barcelona and is Founder of Casa del Tibet, also in Barcelona. I am open to suggestions about which Camino to do after May 15. Buen Camino a todos!

How wonderful you'll be serving in this very special albergue in Granon! Do you have time to just walk from there? And then yes, to do the San Salvador + Primativo....this is a grand idea.

That’s my problem lan if I have time. It would take me 8-9 days to walk from Grañón to León. If I don’t have enough time I’ll train or bus from Burgos to León Thanks!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
