Heart Broken on the Camino

RENSHAW

Official Camino Vino taster
Time of past OR future Camino
2003 CF Ronces to Santiago
Hospi San Anton 2016.
Above the little town of Tosantos is the small church that has been honed out of the rock. At the entrance is a door which has the most unusual locking mechanisim. The lock is in the form of Christ on the cross. One of the arms is drawn accoss the gate and two feet at the bottom are locked by a key , completing the Crucifix. I have NEVER seen such a wonderfull piece of ingenuity.
It has been stolen , taken by thieves that must have planed their evil deed well as it would have taken a lot of effort to remove.
IT BREAKS MY HEART!! :(

A selection of Camino Jewellery
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
How sad. Unfortunately in these times a lot of metal is being stolen for scrap as the prices of metal are so high. In England the churches with lead roofs especially suffering from this blight. It is sad to think that something as unique and pleasure giving as you describe will no longer give pleasure to people and may become scrap.
