Hello I am Ed

Hello, my name is Ed Lee. I live in Woodstock, Virginia, USA. I recently heard about the Camino and think it is something I want to do. I found this website and find it really interesting with lots of tips and stuff. I may end up asking a lot of dumb questions so please bear with me. When talking about your feet, what do you mean by a hot spot? What is a good quick easy to learn program to learn some Spanish? That's it for now. Thank all of you.

Hi Ed,

Welcome! A hot spot is literally that, a spot on your foot that starts to feel 'warm' and is the precursor of a blister. Warning - it does not take long at all for a hot spot to turn into a blister so as SOON as you think you feel it, stop and take off your shoes to check and attend to it!

alipilgrim, thanks you. Where I live is in the Shenandoah valley. We have great hiking around here which I take advantage all the time. Sometimes parts of my parts of my feet get warm and uncomfortable, but never have they turned to blisters. Is that what you call hot spots. Usually when I go for a real long hike the bottoms of my feet feel warm and liquidy but like I said never a blister. I looked at a few peoples posting and saw pictures of feet with blisters. Believe me this is not what I want. I have other problems with my feet and I don't want to contend with blisters. I am not saying I have never had blisters but not in a long time.
