Hello new here and first time walking the Camino

Join our full-service guided tour and let us convert you into a Pampered Pilgrim!
Welcome to the forum ! There is a huge amount of information on here to read from some very experienced pilgrims, so dive on in and enjoy! If you're looking for something specific I suggest you use the advanced search function and limit the replies to first post and see what that brings you. You could start with the simple 'advice for a first time pilgrim', or whatever else takes your interest such as shoes, rucksacks, packing lists etc. Then once you've read everything of interest (warning, could take a while -it's a rabbit hole!) come back to us with any specific questions you might have.
There's quite a number of YouTubers amongst us, many of whom do it simply for family members and /or for the fun of it. Or, as we do on here, for the simple joy of sharing.
You haven't said when you intend to walk the Frances, whenever it may be, Buen Camino!

Hello and thanks so much for welcoming us. we plan to walk early next year ,still in planing stages but mars april is the plan .

Dan, Anna, if you're thinking March/April remember to allow for Semana Santa (Easter). As you see posted elsewhere it's a major celebration in Spain. With the exception of accommodation, restaurants bars and supermarkets; pretty much the entire country closes. There's wonderful parades - but there's also a 'parade' of wonderful Spanish on the Camino. If the weather's even halfway decent they hit it in their droves. Especially the shorter camino's/ last 100 kilometers; eg the last 100 km from Saria. It's the one time aside from the first two days out of St J. that you might wish to consider booking a couple of days ahead.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
