Hello to all

As a new member of the forum who has been reading clandestinely for the past three months or so, I have to say how much I enjoy the entries--not simply for the collective wisdom from all of you, but also and especially for the sense of humor (or, occasionally, the lack thereof) which so many of you show.
I will be walking my first Camino in August. I arrive in St. Jean-pied-de-Port in the evening of August 27 and hope to begin the walk on Thursday, August 29. I will be on sabbatical and have nowhere I need to be until October 23, when I am meeting a friend in London, so I plan to take a "slow" approach to Santiago de Compostela.
