Hi everyone, I'm starting from Pamplona in 2 weeks and I'm really starting to panic. I walked from SJPP to Pamplona last August but picked up tendonitis on the first day. I limped on till Pamplona but had to admit defeat and head for home. I was heartbroken but I knew I'd be back. So here I am again. Backpack almost ready, tickets booked and, most importantly, my Forum badge sewn on.
I've seen a lot of posts for people starting in and around Easter but are there many people starting early April? I'm looking forward to some time to myself but I don't fancy walking on my own.
I'm starting off slowly to avoid getting injured again and I don't plan to stick to any "stages". I just want to walk as far as I can comfortably go each day so I look forward to meeting a few of you on the way.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

There is a saying popular on the Appalachian Trail, "Hike your own hike." Keep to a pace you are comfortable with and I am sure you will make it. I won't start hiking until 10 April but will be sure to say hello if I see you.
Buen Camino and bonne chance!

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
You are going to have a wonderful time!
You are experienced this time around, probably carrying less weight and you know now that you need to start slowly. Take your time going up and over Perdon. Stop and smell the flowers! You will be fine. Have a BUEN CAMINO!

Great attitude Gilloni. Hope you have the Camino you wish for and that your feet/legs co-operate fully this time.
Buen Camino

Myself and 3 friends are back for our third weekly stage starting in Burgos on Saturday 5th April. Our paths may meet. Just look out for the 4 Englishmen!

Hi everyone, I'm starting from Pamplona in 2 weeks and I'm really starting to panic. ...

Hi, Gillonie!

I'm with you on the panic thing - lack of time for the project has made pack re-filling and preps very difficult.

A friend and I should just be walking into Pamplona on the 30th and walking on the next day. (I think we'll be done with panic by then but you know how life can be uncertain.:))

Look for a couple of older American guys, 6 ft-ish, hair color is "grey-to-none".

One of us is very personable, cultured and erudite. The other one is me.;)

Thanks everyone,
I'll hope to meet some of you out there.
I'm arriving in Pamplona by train on the 30th and starting the next day so I'll keep an eye out for B and his "interesting" friend:)

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Thanks wayfarer and Happy Paddy's day for yesterday.:D
I'm hoping the road will rise up to meet me and the wind will always be at my back!;)

I did it! My leg held up and I made it to Santiago. I had a fantastic time. I loved every minute, even the days when the walk became more a shuffle because of blisters. It will take a few weeks to absorb everything but I've come back so happy. I had so much fun with my Camino friends and Forum buddies but I'm very happy to be back home.:)
