My partner and I are planning to take our first step on his 60th Birthday in September and our last on my 51st 5 weeks later............thats the ideal plan but Im sure there will be markets, blisters, fabulous food along the way that may make us alter our trip slightly.......to say I am excited and slightly scared at the same time would be an understatement. Im currently training by walking everyday listening to spanish language tapes and enjoying a glass or two of red each evening.
Love to hear from anyone else who is going to be there at this time.

Hi Denise
Starting the Camino Frances from St Jean Sept 12th, with my niece and her two sons. They hail from NZ, I'm in Brisbane. I've done it before, in 2012, and got all my advice from this forum. Just fire away with any questions. As wayfarer says, keep up the vino into, it's invaluable.

Hi Denise,

I am starting in SJPP on September 21, with the intention of walking to Compostela in five weeks. I am hoping to arrive there on October 24.

As Gerard mentioned above, there is a Camino group that meets once a month in Sydney. I went along to the June meeting last Saturday and they are a nice group of people who are happy to talk about all things Camino. Here is their website if you are interested:

Cheers
