Hello to one and all. This is my first posting although I have had a good read of some of the posts in the past few weeks.

I am hoping to walk for 3 weeks in July/Aug this summer. Am I mad, is it way too hot? Any suggestions for the best route to take? I haven't decided yet...but looking forward to it :)

Hi Jessie,
I am also going to be walking in july/august but for just two weeks. I am going to start at Leon, so maybe i will see you on the way.

Hi jessie,
I walked for 14 days last september. I then rested in Madrid before returning to Dublin.
The weather in september was very mixed. I walked long days starting in Burgos.
It was a truly worthwhile experience, however I spent every day waking and probably did too much. If I were to do it again I would take it slower.
Have a long look at your route(s) and build in some rest days and also you may get an injury, tendonitis or something similar that requires you to rest for a day or two. aTake a look at thi siet and maybe it will help compare routes.

Nayway if I can answer any questions feel free to ask.

I've decided to start at Burghos also. I've got 3 1/2 weeks so that should be plenty of time, and if it's too much, I'll take a break or get a bus or whatever. I plan to enjoy it rather than kill myself...

Not long now :)

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
I am 29 doing the Frances by myself starting in SJPdP next week. I didn’t realize this was a busiest time to do the Frances so I am really nervous about the bed race. I don’t mind socializing or...
