My husband and I watched the movie a few months back and it really gave us motivation to do something out of the box...an adventure!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

My wife and I have walked the camino two years ago Puy Saint-Jacques for 65 days and this year from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago for a little more than a month.

Between these two long walks we followed the way of the writer Robert Louis Stevenson, in the CĂ©vennes (Massif Central, France) during the month of June 2011.

We plan to redo the way from Puy in France to Saint Jean Pied de Port next year

So we know well how to prepare this kind of long hiking.

Welcome to the world of pilgrims.

"The Way" movie has certainly caused a lot of interest in the Camino.
Browse through the forum to become informed and keep you motivated.

I also recommend "Pilgrim Stories on and off the road to Santiago" by Nancy Louise Frey. University of California Press, 1998. I read it before my first camino and found it covered the human dimension of pilgrimage very well.

Embrace the Camino, and make it your own. Some people speak of doing the Camino properly. There is no such thing. Only the way each individual makes it.
