There is a Decathlon in Ferrol - I don't know where, probably in one of the commercial centres on the way out of town. I'm going to try and attach a screenshot from the commercial online directory.

DECATHLON
Carretera San Pedro (no number)
They have hiking poles for sure

I think that most young people in Ferrol know Decathlon . You can ask them how to get to.

I don´t know how is your Spanish like .
But just in case say : Por favor Donde está Decathlon?
Que bus puedo coger para llegar?

Of course thinking twice , you can better ask in the hotel/albergue

There is also DECIMAS (shoping mall Alcampo) Everybody in Ferrol knows where Alcampo is, but I'm not sure they would have poles .
