It´s been horrible. Torrential from Vierge d´Orisson, horrible weather through from Larrasoana to Cizur, horrible amounts of mud before Altoo del Perdon... Oh, and because my feet got wet I´m now the proud owner of a blister the size of Manhattan!

Does not sound much different from April!

I remember that mud so well, wading, slipping in a quagmire. It dampens the spirits somewhat! I really don't think I could do that again.

Hopefully it will get better. If it is any consolation we have had constant rain in Kent for 2 days!

Still you are a Camino veteran you will survive!

Having been cold and wet along the pilgrimage my heart goes out to you. Veteran or not, the conditions are not nice, I just hope things improve for you and your fellow pilgrims.

Good luck Minkey. I hope the weather gets better real soon for you and all others on the Camino.

The climb and the descent at Alto del Perdon must have been a nightmare. Keep the spirit up ...and your feet warm.

HOla from Puente LA Reina

I did that Alto del Perdon climb today and am now in Puente La Reina. The mud would suck the shoe off my foot. I have 2 little blisters, not bad. Many angels on this road, wonderful people. I think tomorrow I will walk a little less, so that I can get some muscles used to doing this. Loving it

Hi Minkey! Your description of the Camino sounds like my trip last May! I'm sorry you're having such rough weather.

Lilli, if you want to go only a short distance tomorrow, Lorca has two wonderful albergues. You can't miss them!

Good news - Last night and this afternoon were really nice and sunny.

Bad news - I walked through two thunderstorms today! Within the space of about 1 hour!!!

Hopefully my walk from Logrono to Najera will be a little kinder!! Ah well... All character building stuff, eh?!

Hi to all you pilgrims on the road these past days,
I'm feeling for you all. I've walked through some horrendous weather but not, I think, the mud that you and the Spring pilgrims encountered. Wet is one thing, additional kilos on your feet dragging you down is something else. I hope and pray you are encountering warm, sympathetic and welcoming hospitaleros.

Jaja, Hi, Minkey, I passed the thunderstorms you talk about on saturday walking the Alto del Perdon up!! Incredibly nice but with a lot of water.
