Welcome @artsschmidt .Have you or are you going to walk the Camino while taking Ibrance?
I have been taking Ibrance for two years and I understand the side effects are hard on me . I am doing my first Camino in 1st week of September. When I asked my Dr he has agreed to allow me to stop my Ibrance two weeks before the walk , then No Ibrance during my two weeks of Camino starting back the Day I return. Talk to your Dr. And ask him if he would be ok with that.Welcome @artsschmidt .
Ugh, I'm sorry you have to take this.
I have no experience of Ibrance to share, but did 3 long caminos while taking aromatase inhibitors. That was a while ago, and I only remember the Caminos, not the effects of the drug.
Do talk to your doc; they'll be in a better position to tell you of the SEs that might affect the Camino than we are.
Buen camino!
Thank you and so sorry you are taking this drug. I have taken it for 3 months and the side effects are getting better. My daughter wants to take me to Italy in 9 months and he said it is a bit wait and see but that he would stop the ibrance when I go. I really wondered if others walking have experienced taking it….and if their doctors said to go off while traveling. Sounds like it is not uncommonWelcome @artsschmidt .

Sorry I thought I was replying to the lady also taking Ibrance. I am also taking Anestrozole.Thank you @artsschmidt . And...Anastrazole is not Ibrance. I felt quite free to travel. Ibrance - from what I read - looks much more complicated. Have you asked the same question in the Breast Cancer forum? There may be people there who can better answer your question, because it's quite specific.
Lots of inspiring threads there!
