Hi All,

I'm travelling from Barcelona to Somport on 28th July (to begin the Camino Aragones) and I'm currently trying to book transport. I've read various threads about trains and buses and have decided to go by bus from Barcelona to Zaragoza and then bus from Zaragoza to Somport...but I can't find a bus service to Somport. Does anyone know if the bus station at Somport has a different name please?

When I search on 'Rome to Rio' and 'Go Euro' it shows that there is a service, with approximate prices, but when I search on the 'Alosa' and 'Avanza' sites Somport is not one of the listed destinations...Help!

If anyone can offer some sage advice, I'd be very grateful .

Gracias a todos

The bus runs from Oloron Ste. Marie through Estacion Canfranc up to Somport. You would connect at Canfranc. The Somport station is a parking place at the old border control station.
Muchas gracias falcon269, estoy muy agradecida

We took train from Barcelona to Zaragoza went upstairs to bus station then took bus to Jaca. Same bus station took bus to Somport.
After a coffee we started walking back to Canfranc estacion to sleep and shorten the distance next day. Loved the Aragones!

That's great info for me and supports mspath's suggestion. Thanks very much Camino07. This will be my first time on the Aragones and I'm really looking forward to it. So glad you enjoyed it

...and just in case anyone else is looking at this thread in the future to find more information, here is the website that lists the current timetable for buses from Jaca to Somport (under "Como Ir a Somport" the second paragraph "De Jaca a Somport"). If you click the link in that paragraph it takes you to times, stops and ticket prices (under "Jaca - Canfranc - Astun"):
