I’ve just had my poles “pimped"

I keep hearing stories of people walking off with other people’s poles. Its usually a case of picking up poles that you thought were yours as they all look very similar.

I was at a Nordic Walking Festival in the UK a few weeks ago and i got rather excited when I noticed a stand called StixSkin - they personalise your poles with a very large selection of designs. I chose the Camino design. Hopefully no one will take my poles in error on my forthcoming Camino trip.

That is terrific, thanks. Now I am hoping that shipping doesn’t make them unaffordable! Thank you.
It’s just sticky paper, so I can’t imagine they would be expensive. I’m not sure if they sell stock via Amazon?

My Black diamonds ultra light poles I can collaps into 3 parts of 40cm, put into an etuibag and bring it with me in my bp. Never leave them anywhere. Used mine since 2011 on several caminoes since then.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I know that you are worried about someone "accidentally" taking your poles but with those nice Camino shells on your poles they may make someone take your poles on purpose..... :)
Are you casting aspersions on the honesty of some pilgrims?
Incredible, simply incredible. :))
In Roncesvalles earlier this year I had a 'new lamps for old' experience. Someone took my cheap poles and left in their place an expensive looking set.
I didn't take them but bought a wooden staff for €8. It did the job just as well .

I hope not! They also collapse into 3 small sections and go into a bag which fits on my rucksack. I think I’ll keep them with me now!

I love this idea, but if everyone gets the Camino ones, wouldn't you then be back in the same boat? Although I've never had a problem with someone taking my poles by mistake, I've used nail polish to differentiate mine.

I do this:

but have bought some skins for a bike frame (not that I'd dream of biking the Camino!)
