Hi, I'm Julian Lord

I walked to santiago from Paris in 1994, and this year I'm walking to Santiago and back again from Monaco where I now live.

I'm leaving in ten days' time, and I am very happy to be doing this new journey.

I guess I do a pilgrimage about once every five years or so ...

Glad to be a member of the forum, and hello to all the other pilgrims

Welcome to this forum Julian, good to have you as a member.

Just curious, how long do you schedule your Monaco - Santiago - Monaco walk to be?

...don't need to book any flights either...

Buen Camino and welcome to Santiago,
Ivar

Well, this time round I'm really just going to take as long as it takes, doing it 100% medieval.

I'm thinking maybe 2 1/2 months, but only because I'm a fast walker. Could be three months, but we'll see.

I usually average 25 miles/day, but maybe my average will be higher come October ... :)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

From Paris to S.d.C

Hi Julian, im doing the walk in September. I dont know where to start yet, but since i have 3-4 months to do it on (September to middle of December), i wish to start in: Paris, Vézelay, Le Puy or Arles.

Can you give me some information/experience`s from your walk from Paris to S.d.C in 1994.

- how long time did you use, how long did you walk a day?
- how much money to use a day with food and sleep?

well, just give me as much information as possible :)

all the best, AtlA from Norway
