Le Puy to Pamplona May, June, Camino Ingles in July.

I'm hoping to do Le Puy to Pamplona in May and June and then take a bus/train to El Ferrol and walk the "short" 100K or so to Santiago in July.

Probably - but not definitely - being accompanied by my daughter and then being joined by our respective partners in July for the last bit. However, it is all still very tentative.

Is anyone else planning to do Le Puy to Pamplona then? Grateful for any advice.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I'm planning Le Puy to Santiago but not leaving until last week of June. If you don't have a guide book the Alison Raju book is the only one that I know of. It seems quite good-I used one of her other books to walk the Via De La Plata last year and found it pretty good.

Thanks Kevin. I have the Raju book and will try and do lots more research on the web, etc. first.

How did you find the VDLP?

If this year goes well, I shall try that one next time. I fancy starting from Seville (or even Granada) in April - because I don't fancy walking across the Meseta in high summer.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

I liked the VDLP-I've written a few posts on it including recommending the vdlp. I'm apprehensive about the french way having just read that of the 100000 who walked last year over 80000 walked the french way which sounds like a conveoy belt of people. On the VDLP the most in an albergue was 14 near the start but further on there were no other walkers on many days.
Funny you mentioned starting from Granada as the Danish fellow I met on the VDLP wants to start from there next year, probably early may.
I have a very lightweight tent which I may or may not need but at least will have the option.
Good luck
Kevin
