Hi: my desire is to walk the Camino during Lent 2007 to arrive
at Cathedral on Holy Thursday; to celebrate the holy days leading up to Easter ...of course, weather will be determing factor...it is possible to do it so early in the Spring..i know it is not the best time of year but this is my desire to pilgrimmage during the 40 days of Lent..then i can recoup and regroup from Easter Sunday and following week(s) ..must be back in US by mid-May..is it a possiblity or too hard due to weather conditions?

Lent

Lent begins February 21, 2007? It is not spring yet. Dress warm, with layers. I would only be concerned with the weather going over the Pyreenes, on the French route. The Albergue in St John Pied de Port will advise you if it is a good day to go over. It only takes 1 day. Your sleeping bag should be rated to at least 10 degrees F.
