Hi all!

Started April 8 from Burgos. Everything is fine and no injuries. The albergues have not been full not once yet - I arrived at 6 pm (Ponferrada). Many Spanish people on the camino.

Got yesterday to Villafranca del Bierzo. Stayed at the Albergue Ave Fenix like we had decided in beforehand. Cheap, growded, noicy, communal meal and breakfast. Lavadora and secadora not working so nowhere to get your clothes or boots dry. No heating.

If you stay in Villafranca I would strongly recommednd you to stay at the Albergue de la Piedra ( 8 Euros), very nice and clean, privado with secadoras and lavadoras (5 Euros) so you can get your clothes DRY.

The weather has been beautiful and sunny all the way to Astorga 3 days ago when it started raining. Raining most of the time. Like Graham 66 years a teacher from Australia says: annie be brave!

So today I walked from Ave Fenix to de la piedra about 600 meters and am getting my clothes done. I will continue further today - and hopefully O Cebreiro tomorrow.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Stayed at Casa Mendez in Villafranca--located right after the route splits over the bridge. Laundry, good beds, and welcoming. Breakfast.
