I need the help of those who know about the horarias in the cathedral and how to read the official website (please do not link me to this, I know it already): I'm going to arrive in Santiago July 25th next week. If I like to join the mass for pilgrims and if I'm looking for the Botafumeiro (incense): will the normal mass for pilgrims at 12:00 take place that special date or is this replaced by the Misa Estacional at 10:30? I guess, this mass will be very crowded?

Hola

All that can really be said about the Pilgrims Mass on the 25 July is that it follows the main mass of the feast. That mass is very long and for the last two years the Pilgrims Mass hasnt started until much before 1pm.
The mass starting at 10.30am is the only one guaranteed to have the botafumeiro.

I hope this helps.

John, this helps.... So I'll start latest 5:30 in O Pino in order to arrive for the main feast mass in time....I guess it will be very crowded.... I heard that the royal family always attends this mass?

There is only the guarantee of the King or another Royal attending in the Holy Year. However there is always a representative of the king - such as the President of Galicia etc.
