Hi
My wife and I are from Canada and we are planning to start el Camino from St. Jean Pied de Port on May 13 (approx.) We have previously done the Coast to Coast Walk in England and the West Coast Trail, Vancouver Island and are really excited about our next adventure. Any recommendations of things to do or perhaps things to avoid would be appreciated.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
With you walking experience you might not need much advice.
For the Camino Francès I read anything I could get my hands on from an historical point of view of northern Spain.

A good guide showing all stages and all kinds of information is a good investment. I really appreciated the one by José Maria Anguita Jaèn, published by Everest; http://www.everest.es
