My Camino 2014

Time of past OR future Camino
I plan to walk the Camino between 18th, August, and 26th, September, 2014
We are now beginning a new year but memories of my Camino 2014 are still fresh and I am constantly being nourished by my experiences. I wish to share one such experience. On the 8th, September, 2014 I arrive at Rabanal Del Camino and was welcomed at the wonderful Albergue Gaucelmo by Betty Tuite. That evening I attended vespers with the Benedictine missionary monks in the church on the square and was privileged to read the part in English. Later as it was just getting dark and the last rays of the setting sun illuminated this beautiful church I was present when a French man approached the altar and sang two most hauntingly beautiful hymns in the French language. He finished with the "Salve Regina" a hymn which means so much to me. Of all the wonderful experiences I have had this must rank in the top one or two.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Thanks for sharing this lovely experience. Vespers at Rabinal was one of the most moving experiences on our Camino in 2013.
