Good news for pilgrims planning a walk on the Cami Catalan: a new pilgrims' albergue has opened in Pertusa. The facility offers 6 beds, heating, a shower, a kitchen, bathrooms and a washing machine. It is located in Park Square with keys available at the bar next door from 9:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 9:00, except on Tuesdays.

Good spot too, halfway between Berbegal and Pueyo de Fañanás. It gives more flexibility.

I had to go back and remind myself of the details - an albergue will definitely be a good addition. This still holds, I assume?:

Pertusa celebrates its holidays on the 15th and 16th of August, in honor of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. Although there are other holidays, for San Blas and Santa Águeda, [villagers] have not lost either the tradition of the bonfires of San Antón. They were lighting in the different streets. Sometimes the fire lasts entire days with its corresponding nights.

Yep! Plan on walking out my door and heading off. I’m about 3 weeks out from starting

Fabulous! I have walked the route twice from my former home in Barcelona! It is a wonderful Camino. Enjoy!
