Seeing the difficulty “rankings” today, Norte is starting a little daunting, lol.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Scott, I know the feeling. I am starting the Norte/Primitivo from Santander at the end of May and the more I read the guide books the more unsure I am. I did the France a couple of years back. I keep reminding myself how supportive the other Pilgrims were and I'm sure although harder I'm sure it's going be an amazing experience just like last time. Buen Camino

Hi, you'll always find a friendly face if you need one, and if it's too hard, take some short stages or a rest day? I say this like I know what I'm talking about! but not done the Norte YET. I start June 9th from Santander (only got 3 weeks off work so can't tackle the whole thing). Maybe our paths will cross somewhere. I'm staying on the coast though, did the Primitivo a couple of years ago, and loved it, but I like to make the most of seeing new places. Buen camino all! Phil.

Santander is a good place to start, the Hosteria do Boo does good meals and has some accommodation. It is an easy first day's walk. Are you arriving by Brittany Ferries? The Norte /Primitivo is a good combination, don't be put off :)

Thanks for the Boo advice sounds ideal. ☺Nice to know there's a good place to stay there. Yes going over on the Brittany Ferry.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
