The terrain is fairly flat on today’s walk. Certainly not as challenging as the past 5 or 6 days (OK by me). Today, (I think) the prominent landscape features are the marble mountain in Carrara, the sea from 250 meters up, all the hillside vineyards, and this incredible marble church in Massa. How did Michelangelo get that huge slab of marble down that mountain?
